| Buttons don't work? | |||

Firstly try clicking, in fact clicking twice, on one of the navigation buttons in the left hand panel e.g. the England Squad button. If this takes you to a list of the latest squad and pictures of the England players then all is fine ... read no further! The navigation buttons on this site are written in a language known as Java. For many years this could be read by Internet Explorer and most other Internet Browsers. However in recent times (2006) versions of Internet Explorer and updates that are often automatically made to your existing version may no longer have support for this language. It is my understanding this may be due to a copyright dispute. However, it is possible to continue with the benefits of being able to access Java since it is used on many sites - not just this one! All you need to do is proceed as follows and then forget the problem ... the download is FREE. Visit the web site shown in the link below. You will see a heading "Get Java Now" with a button just below. Click on this button and follow the instructions. I cannot guarantee the success of this process or vouch for the security risk involved since it is not my site. I can only say in several machines in which I have carried out this process it has worked flawlessly and it has caused no problem whatsoever! Sun Microsystems, whose web site carries this download, are, to the best of my knowledge, a very reputable company who have been in the software business for many years and, I have been told, are the originators of the java concept. After you have completed this procedure the buttons on this site should work fine, although you may need need to click twice rather than the single click that worked previously. If you have read this far and the buttons in the panel to the left work fine and link you to other pages on this site, then it is best to do nothing!! If they have stopped working you know what to do.. So if you have problems just follow this link ... phdcc
